I can be cool too!

Dun-na-na-na-naaa-naaaaaaaaaaa, dunnnn-dun-dun-dun-dunnn  (Graduation theme).

Even though I am not really graduated, because I still have my internship, I was still able to participate in the ceremony and officially walk. It was really surreal to finally "graduate".

I remember first coming to BYU-I six years ago and being a doe-eyed freshman. I know what you are thinking: Hey, aren't people supposed to go to college for 4 years? Yes. Yes, they are but my professors told me I was special and that I needed, ah, I mean, wanted me to stay for an additional two years.

For the last 6 years of my life, homework, registering for classes, taking tests, and planning for next semester  has been all that I have known. So the other night, as I sat in complete confusion as to what I should fill my time with now that I no longer have school, I figured I should become more wife-y and motherly. And what else on this earth is more motherly than blogs? I daresay, nothing. Breastfeeding? Nope. Giving birth? Not even close. Raising successful children that have essential skills needed to be prosperous throughout life? No way. Blogs are where it's at when it come to motherhood. You're just not a good mother if you don't write/follow blogs.

I began to surf and realized that the next best thing to a blog are blog giveaways. How awesome is it that people give away free crap that you might want to store next to your other crap?! So awesome, that's how much. That night, I probably entered 20 giveaways ranging from a Dyson vacuum (no way I'm going to win that) to ad space to jewelry to stuff that I can't even remember. It became addicting!

Then I though, Why don't I host a giveaway? Maybe I'll get more readers and my readers may get a prize. Everybody wins! Except for the losers because they, well, lose.

Then I thought, no one is going to want to host a giveaway on a blog with 19 followers to which one of the followers is the author herself. I'm not sure how that happened and I don't really know how to stop it. I'm following myself and it's a bit scary.

So what I can do is craft. I'm a pretty swell crafter and a pretty mean vinylist. When it comes to vinyl, I'm a master. I can weed a calendar faster than the machine that cuts it. That's how it's done! Therefore, I want to share my love and host a giveaway with something from my Etsy shop.

By far, the most popular thing I sell are these:

"Blossoming Vinyl Calendar"

They are personalized vinyl calendars that can be custom made to fit your family in any way. Seriously, any way you want! The vinyl is applied to the back of the glass so that you can erase it without worrying if you are going to take the vinyl with it. I *think* I currently have 15 designs to choose from. How's that for variety?

So I am giving away 1 customized vinyl calendar of your choice.

Hilarious post.

Congratulations on the (almost) graduation.

I too just posted my first giveaway and I'm giving away coupons (I'm not even handy but I am a Mom that blogs so that has to count for something).

Any hoo, I'm Canadian and like all things crafty (I'd like to think I am myself, NOT) and was wondering if I could enter (please email me if I can). I am over 18 (smile). If not, I totally understand. If it's shipping to the Great White North, I could mail, it to my Dad in Florida.

Either way, I really enjoyed your blog and now follow (you're up to 43 followers!).

Feel free to check mine out and/or follow.

Regards, Sarah
