4 miles!

Today I ran my long mile. Four long miles!

Boy, it was pretty tough but I wanted to finish so badly because it proved that I wasn't as bad as I thought. I still got it! Four miles is something I could work with.

The downside was that it was on the treadmill. On rank of best to worst:

1.Outside
2.Track
3.Treadmill

It's just so boring and restrictive. Plus your distance is staring you in the face. It's like it taunts you the whole time and brings you down. Don't look at me! You've only gone 1.63 miles. What? You think you're done?!


But it is still horribly cold outside and was extra windy today so I opted out. Besides, you can't have awesome awkward experiences outside like you can get at a gym. While I ran, I laughed out loud (watching How I Met Your Mother) and audibly disagreed with an infomercial. Oops, I had totally forgotten about the other people around me. Well it could have been worse, I could have let a little flatulence slide out which I wouldn't put past me. Especially while running.

So I am on my way towards running my first half. I know I can go 4 miles. Only...9 miles to go...

If you can run 10 miles, you can run a 1/2 marathon. SO, you are only 6 miles away, and you are doing great! I agree with treadmill running...blah, but at least you can still run when the weather is bad. Run a mile for me please!
